On joining Team inspirent in January 2023 this was a natural extension of all my work to date – I love supporting Businesses and finding solutions.

Having started my career in RBS, I spent 20 years in the corporate world – leading teams of people (100 staff) on multi brands and across multi sites to deliver great service and sales in Financial Services on Multi Brands RBS, Directline, Lombard.

At the financial crisis I opted for a redundancy and left RBS – this was a daunting time. I was a single parent, I left behind a fabulous salary /package, and I took a redundancy package and bought 2 franchises.

The franchise opportunity gave me a first-hand experience of how it is to run your own business and balance family life. The franchise business opened psychology work where I moved into coaching and a private practise of helping people “do the things, they think they can’t”.

It’s hard to believe I have a 35-year career, as I reflect on my journey people are at the heart of everything I do. My key strengths and qualities are helping people believe they can and help them move forward finding the best solutions. Throughout my career I have moved people through change to deliver great outcomes.

Like most people I have faced challenging times throughout life and resilience is a key strength.

On joining Team inspirent last January this was a natural extension of all my work to date.  I love supporting Businesses and finding solutions.

I have worked with many brands over the years and for me my values are really aligned as it’s a great team and everyone really cares about the people we support.

Outside of work my family and friends are my world.  I have raised 4 kids who are all off on their own journey’s now and we are grateful we all come together regularly for our family events – we have done a great job as at the heart of all our kids they value their family. One of my favourites roles is a gran, and fortunately I have a great balance of work and family, spending every Tuesday with my little grandson.

I do continually challenge myself too. Last year I went on an International Trek to Chile raising funds for a local Hospice that really supported me and my family at the most difficult times. This was almost one of the most physical challenges I have ever done, and I am proud of the support, and raising almost £8000 for the Hospice.

In my work there are many quotes that resonate, my favourite of all time is Darwin: It’s not the strongest of the species that survives it’s the one most adaptable to change.
